About Me

My name is Laci Strouse

I equip brands by creating impactful content and using strategic communication to strengthen their voice.

I am currently seeking a full-time role in marketing or communications where I can bring value through creative storytelling, content development, and clear, purposeful messaging. I am committed to integrity, always eager to learn, and driven to excel in every project I take on.

Take a look at my experience below, and feel free to connect; I would love to hear from you!

Purpose-Driven Visuals

As a Communications Intern with The Glory Writers, I managed the organization’s social media presence for two months (June 2023 - July 2023), focusing on uplifting and engaging aspiring authors. Using Canva and Meta Business Suite, I created and scheduled original content designed to inform, encourage, and entertain the writing community. This role allowed me to blend visual storytelling with strategic messaging, strengthening my skills in content creation, audience engagement, and brand-aligned communication.

As part of a creative assignment in my Writing for Industries course, I developed a hypothetical informational ad for Scholastic. Designed to introduce parents to a new book collection, the piece balanced clear, informative messaging with a fun, brand-consistent visual style. From concept to final layout, I focused on capturing Scholastic’s warm, trusted tone while showcasing the excitement of new stories. This project reflects my passion for content creation that connects, informs, and strengthens brand identity.

In this course project, I created a branded print mailer for Proverbs 31 Ministries, combining compelling copy with thoughtful design to reflect the organization’s voice and mission. The goal was to craft messaging that would resonate emotionally while also driving engagement. This piece highlights my ability to write purpose-driven content, tailor tone to a specific audience, and create marketing materials that align with brand identity, all essential skills for impactful content creation.

Content Strategy and Messaging

Drawing from both my coursework and prior internship with The Glory Writers, I created a comprehensive internal social media playbook as part of a copywriting class project. Designed to guide future content creators on the team, the playbook outlines brand voice, messaging strategy, visual guidelines, and post templates. This project showcases my ability to develop consistent, on-brand content systems that support long term storytelling and audience engagement, which are key strengths I bring to content creation and brand development.

In collaboration with my classmate Charis Marshal, I conducted a detailed audience analysis of Microsoft Excel users at Cedarville University. Together, we developed and implemented a research plan to identify the needs, behaviors, and skill levels of distinct user groups. Based on our findings, we created a targeted online help guide using MadCap Flare, designed to provide accessible, user-friendly instructions for each audience segment. This project highlights my strengths in audience-centered communication, technical writing, and digital content strategy.
As part of a long term project in my Content Strategy course, I collaborated with Ella Smith to develop a detailed persona aimed at better understanding and engaging Cedarville University’s Student Life blog audience. Drawing on my real world experience as the blog’s manager, I designed a marketing strategy tailored to student interests and campus culture. This project highlights my ability to combine research-driven insights with practical content planning, which are skills that I actively apply to foster authentic audience connections and drive engagement through strategic storytelling.

Strategic Writing & Documentation

During my internship with Dayton Women in the Word, I developed an internal communications style guide to streamline and unify the organization’s messaging. Drawing on current communication trends, I refined existing materials to enhance consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all internal communications. This project strengthened my ability to create strategic, brand-aligned documentation that supports cohesive storytelling and effective team collaboration.
While interning and later working as an Operations Assistant at The River Radio, I was tasked by the donor coordinator to design and edit a DJ one sheet on a tight deadline. Collaborating directly with DJs, I incorporated their feedback to create a polished, visually appealing document used during the Reach Ohio fundraiser. This project showcases my ability to manage fast paced creative tasks, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and deliver branded materials that support event success.

During my internship with Dayton Women in the Word, I created a process document to organize and manage the organization’s email list using MailerLite. This guide was designed to support future interns by providing clear, step by step instructions for maintaining and updating the email list efficiently. This project highlights my attention to detail, ability to streamline workflows, and commitment to creating helpful documentation for ongoing team success.
